Content engine
Articles your customers actually read. Articles Google actually ranks.
Most SEO content is AI slop dressed up with a writer's name. Ours is the opposite — AI handles the boring parts (clustering, briefing, indexing) while human writers in our specialty pool handle the prose. The result reads like a person wrote it because a person did.
- Topic clustering — one cluster, one pillar, supporting articles
- Real human writers, niche-specialty pools (legal, health, finance, e-com)
- Schema + readability + AI-detection checks before publish
- Custom hero image (gpt-image-1.5) on every article
90K+ articles produced since 2017. 8.4% of drafts get rejected and rewritten before publish.

The pipeline
How a single article gets made — 5 steps.
This is the same playbook for every article that ships on every client campaign. No shortcuts when one client is in a hurry.
- 01
Topic clustering, not single keywords
We don't write one article per keyword. We cluster every keyword in your tracked set into 'topic worlds' (e.g. 'pediatric dentist Tampa' + 'kids dentist near me' + 'children's dental visit prep' all map to one cluster). Each cluster becomes a pillar + supporting articles, internally linked.
AI clustering, human-approved - 02
Briefs written for intent
Every article gets a 1-2 page brief that locks in: target keyword, search intent, SERP competitor takeaways, required word count, required H2 sections, required internal links, schema type. Writer doesn't get to ad-lib structure.
~10 min per brief, automated input + human edit - 03
Draft written by human writers
We don't ship AI drafts. Period. Every article is written by a vetted U.S. or U.K. human writer on our writer pool — most have niche specialty (legal, health, finance, e-com). AI assists with research; the prose is human.
1,500-2,500 words avg, $0.06-0.18/word internally - 04
On-page SEO + schema + readability check
Before publish: keyword density, internal link count, heading structure, schema markup (Article + FAQ + HowTo where appropriate), readability (Flesch 50+), AI-content detection sanity check. Articles failing any check bounce back to the writer.
Automated checklist, blocks publish - 05
Publish, syndicate, index
Goes live on your site. Same article (or excerpt) is then syndicated through our 500+ partner network for backlinks. URL gets pushed to Rapid URL Indexer + GSC for fast indexing.
Avg time-to-index: 3-72 hours
Quality controls
Six checks before anything goes live.
Each of these is automated where possible and human-supervised where it has to be.
Long-form by default
1,500-2,500 words is the floor. Shorter pieces only run on very specific tactical queries; pillar pages routinely hit 3,500-4,500 words.
Schema-marked, always
Article schema is mandatory. FAQ schema runs on every brief that has 4+ Q&A sub-sections. HowTo schema on procedural guides. All validated pre-publish.
Internal linking by cluster
Every new article is auto-suggested 3-7 internal links to existing pillar + supporting articles in the same cluster. Writer reviews; system rejects orphan articles.
AI-content detection sanity-check
We run every draft through Originality.ai + a second detector. Anything flagged above 25% AI gets rewritten. Google can detect AI slop; we'd rather not feed them ours.
Hero image per article
Every published article ships with a custom AI-generated hero image (gpt-image-1.5, on-brand style). No generic stock photos. The image is part of the brief, not an afterthought.
Edit + republish workflow
We don't 'set and forget'. Every article is re-evaluated on a 90-day cycle against current SERP. Ones losing position get a refresh; ones gaining position get expanded internal links.
Content engine questions
The questions a content-conscious owner asks first.
If something isn't covered here, just reply to the welcome email after you grab the pricing. Ron answers personally.
Are these articles AI-generated?
No — the prose is written by human writers in our vetted pool. We use AI for two things: (1) topic clustering and competitor SERP analysis on the brief side, and (2) hero image generation. Every published article passes through Originality.ai and a second detector; anything flagged ≥25% AI gets rewritten before publish.
Who actually writes the content?
U.S. and U.K. human writers in our private pool. Each is matched by niche: we maintain specialty pools for legal, medical/health, finance, e-com, home services, and B2B SaaS. We don't pull from open marketplaces (Upwork, etc.) — too much variance.
Can I get articles published on my own site, or do they only go on your network?
Both. Your articles publish on YOUR site first — that's where the SEO authority builds. We then syndicate excerpts or rewrites through our 500+ partner network for backlinks pointing back to your original.
What's the velocity? How many articles per month?
Depends on plan. The Local SEO Growth plan ships ~8 articles/month; Traffic+ ships 20-40+ across pillar + supporting + syndication-ready pieces. The pricing email lays out per-plan velocity exactly — that's the kind of detail other agencies hide.
Do I get login access to the platform, or just monthly PDFs?
You get a real login. Every Profit Labs™ client gets their own dashboard at app.profitlabs.net with daily rank data, content production status, backlink placements, and traffic graphs. Look at it daily, weekly, monthly — your call. We do not gate the data behind PDF email attachments.
Is the platform something you built or a white-labeled tool?
We built it. Over 8 years. The keyword tracker, geo-grid heatmap, syndication network, content pipeline, and reporting layer are all in-house code running on our infrastructure. We do use third-party APIs for some inputs (SERP data, GSC, GA4) — but the orchestration and the UI are ours.
Can I export my data if I leave?
Yes. Every Profit Labs™ plan includes a one-click export of your keyword list, ranking history, all published content (with URLs), and all backlink placements. We don't believe in data hostage situations — if you leave, you leave with everything.
